Scientific Seminar on “Tax Policies to Promote the Development of Vietnam’s Real Estate Market”

Ho Chi Minh City, November 15, 2022 – On November 15, 2022, the School of Public Finance organized a scientific seminar on the topic: “Tax Policies to Promote the Development of Vietnam’s Real Estate Market.” The event featured presentations by distinguished speakers Prof. Dr. Duong Thi Binh Minh and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Thi My Linh.

The seminar was conducted in an offline format and garnered significant interest and shared insights from faculty members of the School of Public Finance as well as a diverse range of invited guests.

The paper presented aims to analyze the current situation and propose solutions regarding tax policies to promote the sustainable development of Vietnam’s real estate (RE) market.

The research data was collected from the General Statistics Office of Vietnam, covering the period from 2012 to 2022. The primary research method employed is qualitative, utilizing statistical, descriptive, comparative, analytical, and synthetic techniques to evaluate the current status of tax policies on real estate. From this assessment, several recommendations on real estate tax policies are put forth, contributing to the sustainable development of Vietnam’s real estate market.
