On September 11, 2024, the School of Public Finance organized a Welcome Day for the Class of 2027 freshmen. The School of Public Finance warmly welcomed a new generation of students, with over 250 individuals officially becoming freshmen of the Class of 2027, enrolled in the Tax, Public Finance, and International trade and customs management programs at the UEH College of Economics, Law and Government – CELG. To strengthen solidarity and facilitate discussions on learning methods and student life in the university environment, the School of Public Finance held a welcoming giao lưu (interaction) program for the new students of 2024.


The Welcome Day was attended by the Dean’s Office, program directors, and faculty members from the Public Finance, Tax, and Monetary Finance departments. Alumni representatives included Mr. Nguyen Nhat Truong – a K34 Public Finance alumnus, Founder/CEO of TDP IELTS International Education Co., Ltd., and Mr. Dao Duy Long – a K40 Public Finance alumnus, International Tax and Transaction Services Manager at Ernst & Young Vietnam / Former President of the School of Public Finance Student Union. Representatives from the School’s Youth Union – Student Association, APPLE English Club, and Tax Research Group (TaxGroup) also participated.

The program featured presentations on the three academic programs, a Q&A session between the Dean’s Office, program directors, the two alumni guests, the freshmen, and parents, as well as introductions to the Youth Union – Student Association and the two clubs. Additionally, the School presented awards to the 12 freshmen with the highest scores in each admission method across the three programs. The sponsor, TDP IELTS International Education Co., Ltd., awarded eight scholarships worth VND 11 million each to the freshmen with the highest high school English exam scores in the partial English program. Minigames were also organized to provide the freshmen with a comprehensive overview of the School, its academic activities, and student life.
